Last Day At Home

The big pile from the living room is now moving to the van and Devin's car! Yipee! Well, not really yippee. We really didn't know if everything was going to fit in the van. Okay, here is the whole thing! Fit and did!
Next car! All the hanging clothes are in here.

And so it is done! Everything is in. Amazing!

THE FINAL 3

We went to Birmingham on Saturday as a kind of last fling with the Jensens and Paul Pierce. Natalie and Devin share a few moments together waiting to eat at the Cheesecake Factory at the Summitt. Dinner was incredible. Deciding what to get was the hard part! We all tasted each other's desserts too!

7 Days To Go!

Devin only has 7 more days till he leaves. Because he is working some of these days, he only has one more day that he can get up later than 6:00 am! Charlie will miss the second shift of sleeping people in our house! A little corner of the world which we will be happy to see in a dorm room soon! A little blurry I know - but Charlie who used to be our watch dog, now can't hear a thing because his new favorite place to sleep is right beside the fan! Someone could come in and carry off the house and he'd never know it! Except of course if you disturb the (fung schway) sp??? in the room!! Ellie and Jack love piano time with Aunt Gail. It's not usually at the same time, but it worked for 30 seconds.Devin, Jeffrey and Laura sang at a Sr. Citizens service at Valley View this past Tuesday. Yes, they have a hard time taking serious pictures! See, what I mean - you get two to be good and then one goes goofy on ya!

Devin's 19th Birthday

This is the birthday crowd. (left to right) Jeff McReynolds, Bob, Devin, Cameron, Ellie, Sheila, Mark Raines and Scott taking center stage! Notice Jack and Amber are not in the picture. Seems he was having a "time out" during picture time. I wanted you all to see Scott. Can you put a caption to this????!!!!!
The Kerstetter Family as we know it (minus) Charlie.
Devin's modeling portfolio! GOOFY!!
POUTING!
WHINING!
MONEY MAKER!
Ellie was enjoying playing ring around the rosie all by herself!
Here's the crowd watching as Ellie entertains.
Before too long we were all playing ring-around-the-rosie and duck duck goose! And that was the entertainment for Devin's 19th Birthday party! He's such a good sport!

Vacation in California

We made a day trip to San Francisco. Our first stop was Pier 39 which is soooo much fun. We ate at Bubba Gumps Seafood Restaraunt and walked the pier. There are tons of fun things on the pier - the fruit market being one of them. I really wanted some cherries, but I thought they were too expensive, only to find out they were the same price in the grocery store! Anyway, the fruit was wonderful! This is Lora Beth (Laura) Jennings. I renamed her when we lived in California. I thought she needed a southern name. She is my dear, dear, friend!
We visited a Maritime Museum in San Fran. Devin is standing in front of a beautiful (cut glass) top of an old light house! Isn't this ama-za-zing!!
There's a hotel in Union Square in San Fran, called the St. Francis. They have an all glass elevator in their hotel that probably you'd have to be a quest to know it existed. However, since we have friends in high places (Karl & Sharon!!) , they told us about it. It goes 32 stories high and this is the view from the elevator. It's incredible! We rode the elevator several times so we could see everything. And...it's free. You just act like a guest and get on!
Another day trip ... this time to Lake Tahoe! Oh ... my ... goodness!!! And my favorite color is blue, so everywhere you look is blue ... sky ... lake. We rode a "Gondala", (an enclosed ski lift) 7,000 ft. up and got off to this beautiful view. The sun was intense, and the wind was a little cool. Weird combo. We then got back on the ski lift and rode to 9,000 ft. and there was no view so we didn't bother getting off.
This is Jeff driving around Lake Tahoe. We started at the south shore and drove around the north shore, so you have this gorgeous view the whole way.
On the drive to north shore, Dev just couldn't hold out anymore! However, there is a gorgeous view out his window too! Here we are back at the Jennings house - relaxing. Even Sadie (the dog) joins the party!

First Day of Senior Yr. of High School

This was a year ago. Charlie hasn't changed. Devin looks the same too! I'll post an updated picture soon! You won't believe this, but Devin carried the same back pack from 1st grade through 12th grade! Still looks good!
